2022 Subaru WRX

Updated: Mar 7

As 2021 was coming to an end, Subaru unveiled their new generation WRX. I got to see the car first hand at The Philly Auto Show which returned after its Covid-19 hiatus. The next gen WRX has turned a lot of heads of its design. The car is reminiscent of a Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla. It definitely shows by the look of the car with the Honda Civic Si like duckbill mounted on the trunklid. The interior was comfortable, the seats either you get WRX themed seats or Recaro's. The dash consists of a gauge cluster and a Tesla type stereo and AC/heater integrated on a huge screen. The exterior is a bit different this time, around especially in the fender area with plastic surrounding both front and rear fender flares. The front had vents which is good for performance at high speeds. The car has its traditional Symmetrical AWD system at 276bhp and 258 lbs of torque. Available in a 6 speed manual transmission or CVT cost at msrp starts at under 30K but im sure with todays markups, you'll be paying more outta pocket.
